John Gormsen, based in Avignon, France, is an expressionist of emerging stature. Building on his Danish heritage, adopting what he cites as a ‘cosmopolitan’ style, Gormsen has developed a strong usage of the acrylic medium.
Gormsen utilises mixed media to his advantage. Sand, ink ,and silver and bronze mediums come into play frequently within his pieces, texturizing and achieving a subtle effect of depth.
